Lincolnshire based Acis Group has become the first housing organisation in the Midlands to begin using V3a to help it test, measure, demonstrate and improve the value for money of its services.
Acis, who provide over 5,000 homes in Lincolnshire, South Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire, have high ratings for overall tenant satisfaction and with the value for money of services provided. In recent years, some £2 million of efficiency gains have been reinvested back into priority services identified by tenants such as repairs, property improvements and anti-social behaviour.
However, like many housing organisations Acis were looking for something to assist in delivering further value for money improvements, especially in the current economic climate. Acis wanted something which could also give a balanced picture, focussed not just on reducing costs but on improving outcomes of value to customers such as the performance and quality of services.
Valerie Waby, Chief Executive of Acis Group, said:
"V3a has changed our approach to improving value for money. It is enabling us to make better informed decisions about our priorities, which areas to focus improvement activity on, and how we can improve them. It is also helping to embed understanding of value for money right through the organisation. This year’s annual report to tenants will also be much clearer and transparent as a result of V3a.”
